Everyone knows security needs to be “baked in” to system architecture, but you know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your cyber engineering skills to lead the design and building of secure systems for the federal government? We’re looking for a Splunk Engineer who can create solutions for our customers that will stand up to even the most advanced cyber threats. As a Splunk Engineer on our project, you’ll work to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate our customer’s IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. You Have: 5+ years of experience with Splunk engineering, administration, deployment, and maintenance for a large-scale network environment; 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or IT role; Experience with creating and maintaining Splunk dashboards; Experience in engaging clients and stakeholders to understand their problems and recommend solutions, and interacting with customers to provide configuration and optimization guidance in Splunk; Experience with Linux and Windows environments, and using scripting languages to automate tasks and manipulate data; Knowledge of enterprise logging, including application, OS, and security technology logging, and Splunk SPL, REGEX, and custom query and search design; Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers, apply expertise of enterprise applications, and create, modify, and troubleshoot data queries through various data sources; Secret clearance; HS diploma or GED; Splunk Enterprise Security Administrator Certification. Nice If You Have: Experience performing systems testing, including auto scaling configurations; Experience working in a large enterprise environment; Experience with COTS application support; Experience with data life cycle support; Experience with network security, system security, and supporting security information and event management (SIEM); Experience with infrastructure management and support and system administration in Windows and UNIX environments; Experience with security tools, including Firewall, IDS, Active Directory, Tenable Security Center, HBSS or Trellix, and RedSeal; Splunk Architect Certification. Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
