Our Power Generation team is experiencing significant growth and is seeking a qualified Senior Electrical Power Engineer to support natural gas and renewable energy projects, serving as Owners Engineer or Advisor.

Preferred locations include: Austin, Ann Arbor, Boise, Bismarck, Billings, Charlotte, Chicago, Denver, Irvine, Fort Worth, Houston, Honolulu, Kansas City, Madison, Minneapolis, Missoula, Omaha, Phoenix, Portland, Richmond, Raleigh, Sacramento, San Diego, Seattle, Spokane, St Louis, Syracuse .

The candidate should have experience in utility-scale power and renewable energy, leading power generation design projects, including roles supporting Owners Engineering. Extensive experience in power generation, distribution, protection, motor control design, power system studies, and related areas is required. Mentoring young engineers, managing client relationships, and leading marketing activities are also key responsibilities.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with an Electrical Power emphasis.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems Engineering with an Electrical Power focus.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical power generation design.
  • Design experience with simple cycle and combined cycle power plants.
  • Experience with consulting or EPC firms preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Deep knowledge of three-phase electrical power, protection, control design, and related systems.
  • Ability to work with project teams and mentor staff.
  • Travel less than 10% for meetings and site visits.

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • Experience in Power Market Sector project execution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sector-specific design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Revit).
