Job Summary

Title: Pre-School Administrator / Curriculum Specialist

Status: Exempt

Qualifications:

1. A master's degree or higher, with a major in educational administration.
2. A valid Alabama teacher's certificate in the field of school administration.
3. At least three years' successful experience as a classroom teacher at the appropriate level.
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require.

Reports To: Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent

Supervises: All personnel serving in Evan Start

Salary: Current Salary Schedule: 10.5 Month Administrator Contract

Job Goal: To effectively and efficiently administer the Pre-School program in an effort to maximize the educational benefits which will accrue to those who receive services provided by the program.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Supervise and evaluate staff, including teachers, aides, and support personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all local state, and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
• Monitor classroom instruction to ensure quality and age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Support curriculum development that aligns with Alabama State Standards.
• Facilitate professional development for staff in best practices and new teaching and learning strategies.
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for students and staff.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the superintendent.
