Mockups:

Part of the concept and ideation process by Amphibian Design

Details

Purpose: Example of mockups

Designed: Report design concept and ideation

Process: Exploration and feedback with client

Design is a process, and while the terminology and  process change as technology and the industry change, the basic workflow involves crafting a concept, ideating and revising using wireframes, storyboards and/or mockups, refining until objectives are met, and producing the final piece. Here are samples of Amphibian Design mockups toward the beginning of the process of designing a report. A meeting to explore message, audience, objectives, data, requirements and style guidelines led to the design of a selection of rough mockups. The client is presented with these different ideas and directions as a first pass to discuss, narrow down, and explore through one or two more revision/feedback cycles.

Skills: brainstorming concept, ideation, design, illustration, layout, and empathy concerning client and audience needs; adhering to requirements and style guidelines; project management.
