Responsibilities
  • Establish, enhance, and promote trusted relationships with Trias target customers, with a focus on the Air Force.
  • Develop and prosecute a pipeline by identifying, assessing, and assisting in the capture and closure of Air Force business opportunities.
  • Facilitate the identification of mission needs; promote the full range of corporate capabilities; optimize external and internal collaborations.
  • Develop an Air Force account plan and lead Trias customer engagement strategy; identify and cultivate new opportunities and contribute to win strategy for strategic captures.
  • Identify gaps and emerging needs, conduct market and economic analyses, gather business intelligence, and monitor competitor activities.
  • Work with growth experts, capture managers, and BD analysts to achieve long-term business development objectives and create a robust opportunity pipeline aligned to revenue and profit goals.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior government and industry stakeholders; represent Tria at industry forums, conferences, and associations to expand brand visibility.
  • Guide customer call plans to shape procurements and position the company as a trusted partner; oversee the opportunity pipeline in CRM tools with accuracy and prioritization.
  • Drive qualification reviews and go/no-go decisions based on opportunity fit, competitiveness, and ROI; ensure measurable progress across pursuits and increase win probability (PWin).
  • Contribute to capture strategy development, including win themes, competitive assessments, solution development, and teaming strategies; negotiate and build partnerships that strengthen offerings.
  • Oversee development of customer-facing materials and coordinate with proposal, pricing, and technical teams to ensure compliance and compelling value delivery.
  • Provide executive reviews and approvals of key proposals; drive pre-RFP positioning and shape customer requirements to enhance competitiveness.
  • Foster collaboration across capture, proposal, technical, and delivery teams; mentor junior BD and capture staff; provide regular executive reporting on pipeline health and metrics.
Basic Requirements
  • Demonstrable track record of winning pursuits with the U.S. Air Force
  • 10+ years of progressive federal BD, capture, or related roles with success winning large contracts
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Air Force commands and communities
  • Deep knowledge of federal procurement practices, FAR/DFAR, and contracting vehicles (e.g., GWACs, IDIQs, GSA Schedules)
  • Established network with senior federal decision-makers and industry partners
  • Ability to quickly gain and leverage relationships to advance a pipeline
  • Hands-on leader capable of owning all aspects of the BD lifecycle
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Executive presence and strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to influence organizational change
  • Proficiency with USASpending, Acquisition.gov, GovWin, SAM.gov, Salesforce or similar CRMs, and federal market research tools
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience expanding market penetration and generating opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Ability to collaborate with supporting functions and other delivery organizations for win/win results
  • Experience breaking into new accounts through effective capture tactics
