TRAILER MECHANIC – $30/HR | 1ST SHIFT JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers, inspect trucks and tanker trailers, and ensure the safety and efficiency of our fleet. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and equipped with their own tools (preferably a rolling toolbox).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 🔧 Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on trailers
• ⚡ Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems
• ✅ Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSRs
• 📝 Maintain accurate work orders and vehicle maintenance records
• 🛠️ Manage parts inventory and charge parts to work orders appropriately

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Trailer repair, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical inspections
• Pneumatics, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, and wiring
• Familiarity with tractor trailers, diesel engines, and welding
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with air compressors, fuel pumps, hubs, springs, and axles
• Knowledge of domes, valves, vents, and other trailer equipment
• ABS Brake Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• CDL Class A license (preferred, not required)
• ASE Certification (preferred)
• Understanding of DOT Compliance and FMCSRs

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
