InNovo is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Traffic Design Support Engineer to join our team to support in DeLand, FL. This full-time position supports traffic design plan production, with a focus on signing and pavement marking, signalization, and lighting design. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and a strong understanding of Florida’s design standards and specifications.

Responsibilities Include:

• Support the production of traffic design plans including signing and pavement markings, traffic signals, and lighting systems.
• Utilize OpenRoads Designer (ORD) software for design and drafting tasks.
• Interpret and apply Florida Design Manual (FDM) , Standard Plans , and FDOT Specifications in plan development.
• Assist in lighting photometric design using AGI32 or similar software.
• Conduct field reviews and attend coordination meetings as needed to support project development.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure plans meet technical requirements and project schedules.
• Use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, OneNote, etc.) to develop documentation, track progress, and manage design files.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in field(s) of practice.

• 1+ years of experience in traffic design, specifically in signing, pavement markings, signals, and lighting plan production.
• Proficient in using OpenRoads Designer (ORD) for traffic design tasks.
• Working knowledge of FDOT standards , including FDM, Standard Plans, and Specifications.
• Familiarity with AGI32 or other lighting design software for basic photometric analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, OneNote).
• Willingness and ability to perform field reviews and attend in-person meetings as required.
• Availability to work on-site full-time in DeLand, FL.
• Prior experience supporting FDOT projects or working with a DOT agency.
• Understanding of traffic operations principles and plan review processes.
