Lokring Western Canada are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team as a Trainee Technical Sales Consultant. No sales experience is required but a degree in Engineering is preferred. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong work ethic, sharp business acumen and an ability to learn, understand and relay complex engineering principles.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Lokring Technical Sales Consultant:

Technical Sales and Support

  • Product Knowledge:
    Understanding the technology in depth; Design concepts, material & service compatibility, regulatory compliance etc.
  • Market Research:
    Identifying new clients who might benefit from company products & services
  • Customer Qualification:
    Establishing the specific requirements of potential clients to ensure their needs match our capabilities
  • Client Education:
    Changing the ethos of an organization through educating them in the benefits of our technology
  • Technical Consultation:
    Providing expertise to clients both pre & post installation to ensure our technology is utilized in a safe and compliant manner

Business Development

  • Brand Development:
    Aiding the development of the company brand awareness through marketing & advertising
  • Encouraging Business Partnerships :
    Cultivating long-term relationships with clients based on an intrinsic understanding of their needs
  • Business Analysis & Strategic Planning:
    Determining company strategy based on “Coal face” experience
  • Targeting:
    Work alongside colleagues to set and achieve challenging targets which ensure our organization remains at the pinnacle of Lokring’s global distribution network

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Engineering Degree (Mechanical Preferred)

No Sales Experience required

Training Provided

Extensive training, both internal & external, will be provided for the successful candidate, over the course of a 6-month period. Training includes courses dedicated to product knowledge and sales techniques, as well as on the job learning with members of our existing team.

Lokring Western Canada are head quartered in Calgary, AB, and provide services to the Western Canadian provinces from Manitoba to BC. Both the initial training period, and the long-term role, will involve extensive travel throughout this area, with the potential for further travel across Canada and internationally.

Lokring Technologies manufacturing facilities are based in Cleveland, Ohio. On site product training will take place at these facilities also.
