About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Pipeline Survey Technician to support energy infrastructure projects with a focus on preliminary survey work, as-built survey verification, and pipeline routing . This position is fully remote, with project-based travel as needed. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building routes, producing alignment sheets, and supporting engineering/design teams with accurate survey data .
Responsibilities
Conduct preliminary surveys for pipeline projects, collecting field data to support engineering and planning.
Perform as-built surveys to verify pipeline construction accuracy and compliance with design specifications.
Develop and maintain pipeline routes and alignment sheets , ensuring precision and clarity for engineering and construction teams.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and GIS specialists to deliver high-quality survey deliverables.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Support remote project coordination with occasional site visits as required.
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in pipeline or utility surveying (field or office).
Proficiency with survey instruments, GPS/GNSS, and CAD/GIS tools (MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of pipeline alignment sheets and survey deliverables for utility projects.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, construction plans, and survey notes.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment .
Preferred Skills
Experience with linear infrastructure projects (pipelines, transmission lines, utilities).
Knowledge of regulatory standards and as-built documentation requirements .
Prior work with remote teams and digital survey workflows .
