Team Overview You will play a central role in keeping everyday operations running smoothly. Your work will support students, faculty, and staff across the institution. Location Houston, TX – multiple campuses across the metro area, including Spring Branch, Brays Oaks, Katy, and Alief Bissonnet. Responsibilities Assist with financial transactions in the college, including receipting and recording payments, posting tuition vouchers/letters of financial guarantee, and posting purchase orders. Attach waivers or exemptions on eligible student accounts. Assist with student accounts related to service indicators and related impacts. Under general supervision, accept and record payments using cashiering equipment and cashiering systems. Ensure all transactions are handled according to the procedures set out in the Cashiering Procedures Manual. Reconcile cashiering batch, run checks for deposit through the Remote Deposit system, and prepare deposit slips for items to be deposited physically at the bank. Apply or lift service indicators on student accounts as warranted by circumstances. Attach applicable B‑codes on accounts sponsored by third parties. Assist students with understanding their tuition and fee charges, refunds, 1098‑T information, and other account details. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required. One year experience in cashiering, preferably in a college or university business office. Bondable. Skilled in the use of a personal computer. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and CashNet preferred.
