The Sales Rep - Greater Philadelphia Area requires a candidate to have at least 2 years of previous sales experience preferably in the CPG space. Counties include: Pennsylvania - Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester, Berks, Montgomery and Bucks. New Jersey - Gloucester, Salem, Camden, Burlington, Ocean, Cumberland, Atlantic and Cape May. Delaware - Kent and New Castle. Previous snack food selling experience is a plus. Salary range is $50,000 to $60,000 plus a 12% bonus paid out on a quarterly basis.

Reporting Structure: Northeast Regional Sales Manager

Job Type: Full-time; Exempt (Salaried) plus 12% bonus

Work Schedule: Typical work week is Monday-Friday 8:30a-5p, however this position is customer based and hours are based on their availability. Trade shows and sales meetings may occur during evenings and weekends.

Work Location: Remote with 70-80% of the time spent in the field. 1 week per year on-site. Territory is Counties include: Pennsylvania - Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester, Berks, Montgomery and Bucks. New Jersey - Gloucester, Salem, Camden, Burlington, Ocean, Cumberland, Atlantic and Cape May. Delaware - Kent and New Castle.

Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibility

SUMMARY: The Sales Rep - Greater Philadelphia Area is the public face for Unique Snacks and is responsible for creating awareness, interacting with customers and developing new ways to market our products in the CPG marketplace. The ideal candidate will manage, develop, and maintain relationships with key distribution partners, retailers, and vendors in target market. They will work closely with the internal sales and marketing teams to ensure successful business development.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Store visits
  • Meet with store/grocery managers to educate them on our brand and products
  • Merchandising in stores following the Planogram
  • Ensure merchandise in each store is accurate
  • Doing demonstrations and sampling events in stores
  • Taking and sending pictures of store displays to Regional Sales Manager
  • Building displays
• Customers
  • Act as a client advocate with a focus on improving the buyer experience
  • Increase brand awareness by educating them on our brand and products
  • Engage with prospective and existing customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Miscellaneous
  • Increase volume of product sales
  • Meet/exceed sales performance goals
  • Maintain knowledge on all products and present professionally for sales calls
  • Work as a team with the sales department and all departments of Unique Snack
  • Other duties as assigned

FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Standards.
• Follow food safety management procedures (including HACCP and ISO 22000) and maintain clear and accurate records.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have 2+ years of positive working history and relationships in the Greater Philadelphia network and strategic accounts
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to travel
• Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality
• Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills, active listening.
• Proactive attitude with a balanced approach to customer satisfaction and internal teamwork.
• Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
• Must have a reliable automobile for travel within territory

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 2+ years’ experience in Sales and/or Account Management (required)
• 2+ years’ experience in the food industry (preferred)

LANGUAGE ABILITY: Able to read, write and understand English.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Microsoft Office Suite, & CRM Software
• Ability to learn and utilize 3rd party online database systems as necessary

Our pretzels burst open creating bubbles and crevices that were crispy, yet crunchy, and full of flavor. As we produced this split-open pretzel we started calling them "Splits.". They were the only one of their kind.

"Shells" are another variation of a Unique Pretzel. We use our split-open baking process to remove the inside of the pretzel and create bite-size hollow pockets. What's left? The best part! The crunchy, tasty outside pretzel shell.

Made in the pretzel belt of eastern PA, the 6th generation of the Spannuth family is still using the original recipe. Proud of its quality and high standards of what a pretzel should be by only using our knowledge of the baking process to achieve the finest flavors and textures, not by throwing in unnecessary additives. Through the years, other bakeries have tried to copy our "Splits" without much success. "Splits" are not just another pretzel shaped cracker, they pack a serious crunch and are tantalizing to the palate of any pretzel lover.
