Job Description

Westminster Schools of Augusta  is a Pre-K through 12 regionally-accredited, coeducational, college-preparatory, Christian day school enrolling close to 650 students. The 34-acre campus is located in a residential section of Augusta, which is Georgia’s second-largest metropolitan area. The school is affiliated with First Presbyterian Church of Augusta (PCA), but the student body and faculty include members from more than 90 different local churches of various denominations.

We are interested in receiving applications from Christian school educators who view their calling as teaching and discipling students for the advancement of God’s kingdom as we equip students to live extraordinary lives for Jesus Christ. Middle School Mathematics (2026-2027 School Year)

  Responsibilities

● Work collaboratively with administration and math department colleagues in order to strengthen student performance and support.

● Consistently communicate and partner with parents in the shared desire of student growth and success.

● Possess strong organizational skills and insights on how to teach a class with wide-ranging mathematical abilities.

● Use technology in the classroom as an instructional tool.

● Demonstrate a commitment to instructional excellence.

  • Acknowledge, appreciate, and adjust to the various ways that students learn.

  • Use a variety of instructional techniques to promote critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and innovation.

  • Set high academic standards and expectations for students and challenge them to do their very best.

● Maintain high standards of professional conduct, support of the Christian mission of the school, and comfort in an 

independent school setting.

● Pursue professional growth and development.

● Participate in the broader ministry of Westminster through co-curricular activities (math team, athletics, or school club).

● Invest in the lives of students through advisory and other mentorship opportunities.

● The ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

Minimum Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study

● Ability to work in a collegial environment

Preferred Requirements

● Master’s degree

● Five to seven years teaching experience

● Interest in supporting co-curricular activities (clubs, athletics, advisory)

● Knowledge and/or experience working in an independent school environment

● Understanding of the importance of integrating faith and learning
