Position: Mascot Entertainer/Assistant. This role comprises two main portions: performing in the mascot costume at campus events and serving as the Mascot Handler to support event logistics and scheduling.

Job Summary

As a Mascot Entertainer/Assistant, you will wear the Rambo mascot costume at events such as football games, charity events, and photoshoots. You bring a lively energy to events and represent the character in good faith for children, students, and community members. The Mascot Handler aspect involves assisting the mascot at events to navigate crowds, locate venues, and follow a timely schedule. Roles may be shared among team members, with responsibilities alternating between performing in the suit and leading the mascot through events.

Responsibilities

• Perform as the Rambo mascot at scheduled events, engaging with attendees and maintaining a positive, family-friendly presence.
• Coordinate with a team member acting as Mascot Handler to navigate crowds, locate event locations, and adhere to timelines.
• Swapping roles with other team members as needed to ensure coverage for all events.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be able to fit into the mascot uniform.
• Attend mandatory Rambo events as scheduled.

Preferred Qualifications

• Open schedule to attend Rambo events with short notice.
• Experience in mascotting in high school, university, or recreational events.
• Sociable and comfortable interacting with children and community members for photos and group activities.
• Detail-oriented mentality to stay up to date with Rambo's schedule.
• A cumulative GPA of 2.2 at Shepherd University or a high school GPA of 2.75 or higher for incoming students.
