 Job Description:  Marine Electrician (US Navy Submarine)
 Location  Onsite at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery Maine

 The SUB AIT program supports the In-Service Attack Submarines Program Office (PMS 392) under Program Executive Office Attack Submarines (PEO SSN) to achieve optimal submarine operational readiness by providing /production support, component repairs and technical support to accomplish repair, maintenance, removal/installation, troubleshooting and associated testing for Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) submarine maintenance availabilities. 
 The efforts associated with this program will help restore and maintain the material condition and modernization of the fast attack submarines of the United State Navy. 
 Requirements - 2+ years' experience performing repair work on nuclear submarines within the trade they are being assigned. 
-  HS/GED 
-  Must be US Citizen. 
-  Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance 
 Personnel shall have at least 2+ years' experience performing repair work on nuclear submarines within the trade they are being assigned. 
 Personnel shall have DOD type "final" security clearance (DISCO authority with a minimum of a confidential clearance status). 
 At a minimum, all personnel shall be United States citizens and shall possess a final favorable adjudicated tier 3 investigation. Contractor personnel must have a Department of Defense Personnel Security Clearance (PCL) at the confidential level or higher. 
 Marine Electricians Non-Nuclear Electrical Work (TSD EW): Install, modify, repair, troubleshoot and test various electrical and electronics systems, circuits, controls, instruments and equipment. Also includes installation of wire ways and cabling. 
 Marine Electricians Generator/Motor Repair, Electrical (TSD E4): Shop work such as disassembly, inspection, test, cleaning, varnishing, baking, and reassembly, and shipboard investigate/repair generators, motors, and transformers electrical component. 
 Marine Electricians Topside Electrical Work (TSD TZ): Remove, Disassemble, inspect, repair, adjust, test, and install external electrical systems cabling in tanks, voids, and sails. Includes installation of hull fittings, penetrators, and tank level indicators. 
 Marine Electrician Tasks 
 TSD EW (Non-nuclear Electrical Work): 
 Remove, modify, and install electrical equipment 
 Remove, install, groom, and band wireways and cabling 
 Pack and unpack equipment and bulkhead penetrations 
 Repair electrical equipment and cabling 
 Utilize electrical checks to test and troubleshoot electrical systems 
 Disconnect, groom, and reconnect wiring 
 TSD E4 (Generator/Motor Repair, Electrical): 
 Disassemble and replace motor and generator components 
 Troubleshoot, modify and adjust motors and generators 
 Balance motor and generator components 
 Insulate using mechanical and dip methods 
 Stone and bevel commutator and slip rings 
 Assemble motor and generator components 
 TSD TZ (Topside Electrical Work): 
 Remove, modify, and install electrical equipment 
 Disconnect, remove, install, groom, band, and reconnect wireways and cabling 
 Utilize electrical checks to test electrical systems 
 Remove, install, and test hull fittings, penetrations, and tank level indicators
