Burke, Scolamiero & Hurd, LLP is seeking a skilled civil litigation attorney to join our team in the heart of New York State. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collaborative firm known for its high-volume defense work and seasoned trial lawyers.

*What You'll Do:*

* Handle civil litigation matters—primarily personal injury defense—from case inception through resolution
* Work collaboratively with a dedicated team (each case assigned to two attorneys and one paralegal)
* Draft and analyze detailed reports evaluating liability, damages, legal strategy, and case progress
* Prepare and argue motions, conduct discovery, take depositions, and attend court conferences (virtual and in-person)
* Negotiate settlements when appropriate
* Advise clients and colleagues on legal options and case strategy

*What We're Looking For:*

* J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar
* Minimum 2 years of civil litigation experience (personal injury or defense preferred)
* Strong written and oral advocacy skills
* Experience or interest in medical malpractice defense is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
