Job Description - Laboratory Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to provide leadership, operational oversight, and team development within our laboratory division. The role requires strong management skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety in daily operations.
Work Hours: Full-time
Location: Amarillo, TX

Lead and develop laboratory staff, providing training, performance feedback, and regular communication.
Oversee daily lab operations including workflow, equipment maintenance, safety, and compliance.
Establish and monitor benchmarks for productivity, quality, customer service, and cost efficiency.
Forecast and plan for seasonal demands, staffing, and inventory management.
Maintain and update standard operating procedures and safety programs.
Build and maintain strong working relationships within the organization.
Support business goals through budgeting, resource management, and operational improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in science, agriculture, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
5+ years of management experience in a laboratory or related environment.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive results.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office; ability to learn new software programs.
High attention to detail, integrity in data handling, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to travel up to 20% , including overnight trips.
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
Ability to lift 25-50 lbs occasionally.
