As a Hospice CNA, you’re not just providing care — you’re offering compassion, support, and a calming presence to patients and families during one of life’s most meaningful journeys. You provide direct patient care under RN supervision, including hygiene, mobility support, vital sign monitoring, and assistance with daily living activities. You perform specialized tasks such as ostomy care, catheter care, dressing changes, and safe use of medical equipment. You observe and report changes in the client's condition or environment to supervisors and follow care plans as directed. You maintain professional appearance and positive, respectful communication with patients, families, and team members. You respond appropriately to emergency situations and support medication reminders without administering medication. You participate in required training and in-service programs to maintain compliance and enhance care quality. You promote a safe, supportive, and patient-centered care environment aligned with Elara Caring’s philosophy. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, 1 year of experience as a Hospice Aide or Nursing Assistant, completion of a state-established or other Hospice Aide training program, valid driver’s license and insurance, and reliable transportation with 50% travel.
