Job Title: Equipment Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic with a minimum of three years' experience in repairing mobile mining equipment. This role requires exposure to mining equipment brands such as CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Liebherr, with a focus on machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacements. OEM experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mobile mining equipment with a focus on machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacements.
• Disassemble and rebuild Frac Transmissions.
• Utilize welding fabrication techniques, including arc welding, metal inert gas welding, arc gouging, and oxyacetylene torch use.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on heavy equipment and diesel engines.
• Operate service vehicles efficiently and maintain a clean driving record.
• Work independently in the field, ensuring tasks are performed with urgency and exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain a tool inventory sufficient to perform assigned tasks and adhere to safe working practices.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of three years' experience repairing mobile mining equipment.
• Experience with mining equipment brands such as CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Liebherr.
• Proficiency in disassembly and assembly/rebuilding of Frac Transmissions.
• Technical expertise in welding fabrication and hydraulic systems.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OEM experience is highly desired.
• Proficient in computer use and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds and maintain a safe working record.
• Valid driver's license required.

Work Environment

This position involves a 14-7 rotation with working hours from 6am to 3pm. The role is based in a shop environment with both indoor and outdoor responsibilities, located in LA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.

open to per diem, bonuses, or any other possibilities to get people subbed and staying at this hard to fill location
