Dear Volunteer,

Join us in the fight against hunger by volunteering as a Grocery Store Food Drive Ambassador for Renewal Food Bank! We are looking for friendly and outgoing volunteers to staff food drive tables at local grocery stores such as Fred Meyer, Safeway, and QFC. Volunteers will engage with shoppers, educate them about Renewal Food Bank’s mission, and encourage food donations to support families in need.

This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy interacting with the community and want to make a direct impact. Volunteers will be provided with information about Renewal Food Bank’s operations to help answer questions and inspire donations.

Responsibilities:

• Staff a food drive table at a designated grocery store for a 4-hour shift.
• Educate shoppers about food insecurity and the role of Renewal Food Bank.
• Encourage and collect food donations from customers.
• Represent Renewal Food Bank in a professional and positive manner.
• Handle donation tracking and provide basic information on how people can further support our mission.

Skills Needed:

• Outgoing and comfortable engaging with community members.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to quickly grasp and explain how Renewal Food Bank operates.
• Passion for community service and hunger relief efforts.
