The Dairy Barn Arts Center, a cornerstone of Southeastern Ohio's cultural landscape, is seeking a visionary and strategic Executive Director to lead our next chapter. Rooted in a rich history and driven by a commitment to equity and access, The Dairy Barn enriches lives through impactful exhibitions, educational programs, and artist support.

About the Role
As Executive Director, you'll guide a dynamic team, collaborate with the Board of Directors, and engage community stakeholders to advance our mission. You'll oversee strategic planning, fundraising, operations, and programming—ensuring financial sustainability and artistic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multi-year strategic planning with measurable goals
• Drive revenue growth through classes, retail, memberships, and sponsorships
• Oversee fundraising strategy and donor engagement
• Supervise and support staff (7 full and part-time), including hiring and evaluations
• Manage a $500K+ annual budget and monthly reporting to the Board
• Ensure compliance, recordkeeping, and policy development
• Maintain and preserve our historic facility and grounds
• Represent The Dairy Barn in the community and beyond through outreach and advocacy

This is a direct-hire, full-time position. The schedule is typically weekdays, business hours, but there will be the occasional need to work evenings and weekends for events and programming. Salary is in the range of $60 to $70K/year, commensurate with experience. Health insurance benefits are not currently available, but PTO and paid holidays.

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of leadership experience (nonprofit preferred)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in arts management or nonprofit leadership
• Proven success in fundraising, budgeting, and team management
• Passion for the arts and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Strong communication and public engagement skills
• Experience with program development and community partnerships
