Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Environmental, Safety & Health Technician I, with knowledge of OSHA Regulations 29 CFR 1910, 1915 and NAVSEA Standard Items.

Job Summary: 

ESH Technician serves as an environmental and safety resource for facility and subcontractor personnel working in a variety of industrial fields associated with ship repair. The areas include on board sea going vessels and ships; industrial shops; dry docks; etc., ensuring compliance with established Federal OSHA, State OSHA, NAVSEA Standard Items, and Maritime regulations and/or requirements 

ESH Technician Job Requirements and Qualifications- 

Education: 

• High School diploma or GED certificate or equivalent education and experience. 

• Experience and Knowledge: 

• Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 

• Must possess knowledge of OSHA Regulations 29 CFR 1910, 1915 and NAVSEA Standard Items. 

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. 

• Maritime Knowledge (preferred) 

• Knowledge of proper investigating and reporting of incidents. 

• Strong communicator 

• Ability to resolve complaints and negotiate with others.

$20 - $29/hr
