A leading hospital in Amarillo, TX is actively seeking a full-time Night Shift Clinical Pharmacist to join their Emergency Department (ED) team. This is a direct hire opportunity in a Level III Trauma Center , offering a competitive sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.
Position Details:
Title: Clinical Pharmacist Emergency Department

Setting: Emergency Department Level III Trauma Center (Inpatient Hospital)

Schedule: 10-hour night shifts with rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct pharmaceutical care to ED patients
Collaborate with physicians and care teams in acute and trauma cases
Participate in emergency responses (e.g., code blue, stroke alerts, sepsis)
Perform medication reconciliation and ensure appropriate drug therapy
Monitor for adverse drug reactions and medication safety
Prepare and dispense medications per hospital protocol
Educate patients and clinical staff on medication usage
Participate in quality improvement and research projects
Precept pharmacy students and residents; supervise med history techs
Requirements:
Active Texas Pharmacist License in good standing (Required)
B.S. or Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (Required)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (Required within 90 days of hire)
Knowledge of sterile compounding and emergency pharmacy protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of PGY2 in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care
PGY1 Residency with Emergency/Critical Care experience
Equivalent clinical experience in ED or ICU setting
