SUMMARY BSGI is looking for an experienced Certified Water Treatment Plant Operator for our contract at the Bee Tree Reservoir in North Carolina.Accepting applications for all Class A, Class B, and Class C certified operators. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. Check chemical levels and refill or replace containers Check water levels and pump operations Run routine laboratory tests every two hours to determine proper chemical treatment Maintain plant records Observes and inspects plant quality of raw water and all plant equipment Collects water samples and sends/delivers them to Tarrant County Health Laboratory Maintains chemical feed pumps to ensure proper dosage of chemicals Backwash filters as required Must be capable of using push mower and tractor mower to maintain facility grounds Will be responsible for keeping buildings and work areas clean Will assist in minor maintenance on machinery and equipment Prepare daily reports on plant operations and controls Abilit to move 40 pound bags and 55 pound buckets of chemicals Will be subject to emergency call-outs as needed Must be available to work any shift either day or night as the Plant is a 24/7 facility Performs routine grounds and building maintenance Perform Class A/B/C Operator duties as needed QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The job is performed in extreme cold and hot temperatures, working outdoors and in confined spaces. This position also has some exposure to chemicals and toxic waste hazards. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No supervisory responsibilities. ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
