Job Description

Reports To: The Campus Courier/Driver will report to the Client Services Supervisor, Client Services Manager, or equivalent leadership.

Job Overview: The Campus Courier/Driver is vital to the organization of a company's communication. With a strong attention to detail, they will facilitate a variety of delivery, distribution and mailroom tasks to ensure high levels of customer service in a fast-paced environment. Overall, this position continuously offers the highest level of service to all client and SPS employees while maintaining a professional image of the company by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service.

Responsibilities


  • Drive and distribute mail, parcels, and freight to team members and clients within a 5?mile company campus using a cargo van.
  • Navigate predefined delivery routes efficiently while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and security of all materials, including confidential and time?sensitive items.
  • Load, unload, and manage dock operations to support daily freight movement and distribution.
  • Prepare, package, and label shipments securely to prevent damage in transit.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, inventory, and shipping records using handheld devices and computer systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure vehicle readiness and operational safety.
  • Keep all work areas, vehicles, and docks clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with clients and team members in a high-volume environment.
  • Crosstrain and assist with mailroom, copy/print, and other business service functions as needed.


Qualifications
  • Valid California drivers license with clean driving record.
  • At least 1 year of customer service or related experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift 4045 lbs, push/pull carts up to 60 lbs, and stand/walk for long periods.
  • Must pass client-specific background screening.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills; delivers excellent customer service with professionalism.
  • Proficient in MS Office and basic PC systems; able to learn onsite software and use MFD/printing equipment.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; dependable, punctual, and adaptable to new tasks or cross-training.
  • Team player who can also work independently; adheres to procedures, safety, and compliance requirements.

  • Required to maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Must be available for overtime during peak seasonal periods.


Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs; push/pull carts up to 60 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day.
  • Manual dexterity for operating office and delivery equipment.


Pay Range
