What the Job Involves

This position includes both litigation and pre-litigation responsibilities. You will manage your own caseload from intake through resolution, whether that means negotiating a favorable pre-suit settlement or taking a case all the way to trial.

Responsibilities

• Handle a full caseload of personal injury matters in both prelitigation and litigation
• Provide strategic legal guidance to clients throughout their case
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery; prepare demand packages
• Conduct depositions, mediations, and court appearances
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for maximum client recovery
• Communicate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters
• Supervise and collaborate with support staff to keep cases moving efficiently

• Salary from $80,000 to $110,000 depending on experience

Ideal Qualifications

• JD and license to practice in Virginia
• 1–7 years of litigation experience preferred, especially in auto accident cases
• Strong communicator and effective advocate, both in writing and in person
• Tech-savvy and detail-oriented (we use CasePeer case management software and numerous other software programs in our Tech Stack)
• Empathetic and client-focused, with a deep understanding of the challenges our clients face
