• The role reports to the VP of Residential Property Management of the company.

Overview of the role: Property Accountant

• Working to help with a migration in Yardi and working with Yardi reps and property managers.
• Setup of new properties and putting together chart of accounts.
• Assist in ACH setup with new clients in new bank account.
• Working with accounting assistants to ensure check runs and payments are accurate and on time.
• Utilize Yardi software to maintain accurate financial records and perform daily accounting functions.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, budget comparison reports, and bank account reconciliation.
• Working on opening the books and month-end close processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications: Property Accountant

• Yardi software experience is a must!
• Has experience within property management accounting is a huge plus!
• Fantastic communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Great attitude and a team player!!
