The Account Executive, Meijer will manage specific job functions and responsibilities associated with exceeding budgeted sales and margin revenue on the Meijer account. Manage account activity that includes creating and implementing new programs with Meijer, attending and coordinating customer sales meetings, monitoring distributions and replenishment, managing promotions, developing sales forecasts, monitoring financial projections, and maintaining team open task list. The primary responsibility of this job is to attain the revenue & profit goals of the account and coordinate the various internal departments including Sales, Operations, Shoppers Marketing, Procurement, Field Service, and Marketing to ensure flawless execution and timely communication. What You Will Be Doing: Tenacity coupled with strong persuasion and negotiation skills. Creative program development & leveraging internal resources to exceed budgeted goals. Prepare and present monthly customer sales meeting presentations. Be able to travel to customer meetings. Maintain customer and internal financial projections and report on weekly customer business reviews. Visit and evaluate stores as needed. Responsible for overseeing weekly processes to ensure on-time accurate execution. Execute and process promotions within the company system to ensure proper lead time and accurate distributions. Create and present internal quarterly sales reviews. Maintain ongoing promotional calendar with historical distribution and sales information. Run sales and inventory reports as needed from internal and customer systems. Review pricing to ensure both cost and consumer retail accuracy. Track major releases and promotions compliance and communicate results to Field Service. Monitor sales progress for promotions from Field Service store-level solicitations. Desire to advance and grow within the company. Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested. What You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is required. Minimum (2) or more years’ experience in inside sales is preferred. Advanced Microsoft Office software suite skills are preferred. Strong negotiation & persuasion abilities. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize projects/requests. Excellent interpersonal skills – in-person, phone, email, presentations, etc. Fast learner, team player, and aggressive problem solver. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to speak with all levels of the organization and outside partners. Must be proficient in basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to apply common sense understanding to problem solve and improve existing processes in written, oral, or diagram form.
